News From Amici Cantate
As we head to the new term, after a long and at times very sunny summer break, we look forward to catching up with our friends once again. We plan to extend our rehearsal on Saturday 27th September, where you can bring your packed lunch/picnic and have an informal chat. We will be asking for your preference for social events, big or small, so get your thinking caps on!
James Davey, our musical director will be sharing some choral insights on our social media channels. Therefore, we are launching a new Amici Instagram account this term so do join @amici_cantate lots of new content to come!
We are excited to share that as one of the commissioning choirs of a new choral piece by Joanna L’ Estrange “A Season to Sing” we will be performing this work at the Methodist Church in Bishop’s Stortford in November. This piece celebrates the 300th Anniversary of the publication of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
First in the calendar is our annual coming together with our fellow choral choirs at the Bishop’s Stortford Choral Choir Festival where we share and celebrate all things choral and glorious!
